Aeolus once again frowned on the racers with light and variable winds last Tuesday. The end of the academic year saw East Junior High teacher Than Dykstra switch from teaching science to giving the local laser fleet a lesson in light air sailing as Than won the night with two 1sts. Gus Stauber just edged out Jack Kerby-Miller for second place. Race Committee Jordon Owen was able to get off 2 races before the wind dissapeared. Special thanks to videographer/crash boat driver Dave Phelps for some thrilling race video.

The first Tuesday Nite kicked off with small whitecaps on the water as the fleet headed out to the race course. The breeze was out of the north and just enough to be hiking most of the time.
After RC Jordan Owen fired off two races (with a few general recalls thrown in) the breeze completely died in the midst of the start of the third race. The fleet decided to prepare for the Red Wings game and call it a night. The final scores were close with just 2 points seperating five boats.
First Race Attempt General Recall
First Race Start
Start Of Race #2
While the identity of the blue bow that appears at the start next to the commitee boat is not visible those that were on the water will be able to identify him by the anguished cries he let out after being called over early.
